Rowan Harwood, Consultant Geriatrician

Rowan is an academic consultant geriatrician, with wide clinical and research interests, including dementia, delirium, stroke, continence, falls, rehabilitation and end of life care.

Much of his work is in evaluating complex healthcare interventions, in hospitals and the community. He has a strong interest in ethical, social and family aspects of ill-health, and is chair of the Ethics of Clinical Practice Committee at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

He was appointed Honorary Professor in the University of Nottingham in 2006.

He has written four books on stroke and dementia, and 80 academic papers.
