Day 1

And they're off! Three runners - Dominic Towle, Tom Brown and Roger Harrison - set off from Edinburgh Castle early on Tuesday 9th October to begin their epic challenge of running 262 miles over 5 days - the equivalent of 2 marathons each day. On Day 1 they run from Edinburgh to Jedburgh - around 53 miles.
This amazing journey on foot from Edinburgh to Nottingham is all to raise funds for Stroke Rehabilitation Research, a fantastic cause, & close to their hearts.
After a bowl of porridge, the runners were given a true Scottish send-off by a piper and Professor Marion Walker MBE, Professor in Stroke Rehabilitation at the University of Nottingham to help them on their way. The three runners were joined by Dr Wayne Sunman, Stroke Physician at Nottingham for the first leg.

Good luck ONF castle 2 castle team!
